VapiCore for the love of DIY mixing
Stay tuned so you can be among the first to give us feedback at release. VapiCore is what DIY mixers have
been waiting for: a comprehensive mixing suite for e-liquid recipes.
Still in development right now, but soon available on GitHub, Codeberg, Forgejo, and here as well.
VapiCore offers everything from flavor calculation to cost calculation, plus importing third-party stashes
and recipes, giving DIY mixers what they need to create and manage flavor recipes. Create recipes and see
steeping time at a glance. Dilute nicotine base or create premixes. Manage and document your inventory and
costs.
VapiCore is the perfect offline alternative with an encrypted database and backup features to keep your
recipes and flavors safe. You can import and export recipes and stashes from popular platforms such as ATF,
ELR, and VCC, and share recipes easily with other users via QR code or JSON.
VapiCore is designed to be portable so you can always carry it on a prepared USB stick. The idea is to use
your database across all operating systems. The app is built with Electron and is provided as Linux AppImage,
Flatpak, Windows EXE, and macOS DMG.
The goal is to create a portable USB setup with your database and all required app versions stored there. The
user database is independent from the app and can be stored in any folder. That means you can plug your USB
stick into a Windows PC, launch the EXE, and import the same database, even if it was created with Linux
AppImage or macOS. If you switch from Windows to Linux later, you only need the matching AppImage and can
keep all your data clean and lossless.
I was frustrated that there was no universal offline alternative to DIY mixing websites and that stashes,
recipes, and databases were not compatible with each other, so I started building an app that unifies all
operating systems and cloud ecosystems.
With VapiCore, you can convert all your scattered stashes into one consistent format and remove duplicates.
DIY mixers who have managed stashes and recipes in Excel for years can import their notes through a table
template and move them into the app database with minimal effort.
Not every feature will be available at release v0.1.0, but most core features will be. We are looking
forward to testers and feature ideas from experienced DIY mixers. The app will stay free and licensed under
VGPLv3 because we want to support and grow DIY vape flavor and recipe mixing long term.
